Hoosbui (“the App”) is a weather application for the Netherlands and Belgium. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

Location

The App uses your device’s location to show weather for your area. Location data is sent directly to the weather service (see below) to retrieve forecasts. We do not store your location on any server.

No Accounts

The App does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Open-Meteo — provides weather data. When you use the App, your approximate location is sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve forecasts. See Open-Meteo’s privacy policy.
• Google AdMob — displays ads in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation. See Google’s privacy policy. You can remove ads by purchasing the premium version.
• RevenueCat — processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user ID to manage your purchase status. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Data Storage

All app preferences (such as your chosen language or colour scheme) are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data.

Analytics and Tracking

The App does not include any first-party analytics or tracking. The third-party ad network (AdMob) may collect data as described above; this does not apply if you have purchased the premium version.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
